Has anyone been playing the new PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain? It's been touted as one of the most cinematic gaming experiences on the market with its unique gameplay mechanics and I must say it really works. Most of the scenes play out as quick time events, but it's all integrated so seamlessly it's not an issue.

Also of interest to Varaces forum members is the game even has an interactive car chase sequence - the main character gets tasked by the killer to drive for 5 miles down the wrong way of the freeway and police give chase. It's a very intense scene, particularly as you have to physically move the controller as if it was a steering wheel at times to avoid the oncoming traffic.

I would definitely recommend playing the scene first though as it loses its effect somewhat by merely watching it.

An impressive sequence SWF. I can see why they are claiming that it is cinematic. All the more reason for me to get a PS3.
